Warstone

The Warstone is a remnant of a Conflict-attuned natural treasure awarded to Zac Atwood after Saeward's scenario. Rather than serving as a reusable weapon, it becomes one of the conceptual and material foundations of Zac's core. (Chapters 1037–1039 and 1054–1056)

History

Saeward's legacy

After the scenario ends, Sendor presents one light to Zac and another to Kruta. He calls the fragments Warstones, rejecting Saeward's grander name, Embryo of the Wargod. The shard resonates immediately with Zac's Branch of the War Axe and promises to generate energy through conflict when used as a core foundation. (Chapters 1037 and 1039)

Foundation of conflict

Zac studies and incorporates the Warstone while assembling the resources and concepts needed for his core. Its value lies in matching his path: the stone's pure Conflict reinforces the role of struggle within the structure he is building. Once committed to that work, it ceases to be an independent, reusable treasure. (Chapters 1042, 1054–1056, 1080, and 1182–1188)

Properties and use

• Conflict resonance: The shard responds to conflict-aligned Dao and can generate energy through battle when incorporated into a core. (Chapter 1037)
• Core material: Its purpose is foundational and irreversible rather than a temporary combat activation. (Chapters 1054–1056 and 1182–1188)
• Separate awards: Zac and Kruta receive distinct shards; neither holds the other's portion. (Chapters 1037 and 1039)
