Petalstorm

Petalstorm is Thea Marshall's remotely controlled flying Spirit Tool. Its separated blades strike with enough precision to nick a throat or dismantle a corpse golem before returning to her side. (Chapters 138, 351, and 536)

History

Thea's hidden blade

Petalstorm first appears as an almost invisible threat directed at Ogras during the New World Government auction. Its range, speed, and divided blades let Thea threaten an opponent without stepping into reach. In the undead campaign, the weapon cuts apart larger enemies while she preserves cosmic energy for movement and command. (Chapters 138 and 351–392)

Toward awakening

Thea continues using Petalstorm through the Tower of Myriad Dao and the Mystic Realm. When she encounters a Gemling crystal that calls to the weapon, she believes absorbing it could awaken spirituality comparable to Zac's axe. The opportunity establishes the direction of Petalstorm's growth even though acquiring the crystal is not worth abandoning the group's larger priorities. (Chapters 536 and 613)
