Role in the wider conflict

Heda created Vivi as an early experiment in the Orom World, calling her both a success and a failure because limited skill had prevented the plant from becoming a Plant Queen. With only a century or two left, Heda chose to entrust the corpse-eating plant to Zac Atwood, and Vivi accompanied him through years of danger as a warm, steady presence rather than remaining confined to a dying garden. (Chapter 815)

Vivi’s bond with Zac lasted almost two decades when Temporal Chambers were counted, but the original flaw ultimately could not be overcome. Her death severed a connection Zac experienced as losing part of his soul, and Heda’s last request to care for her sharpened his grief. The loss forced Zac to confront that companions caught in his providence could die despite every opportunity he offered them. (Chapter 1174)

Appearance and personality

Vivi is a flowering plant with multiple vines. Her presence feels warm and gentle to Zac, though she also enjoys eating corpses and can restrain opponents in combat. (Chapters 815, 970, and 1174)

Abilities and cultivation

Vivi uses vines to entangle and drag targets, functioning as both battlefield control and a protective companion. Her failed origin prevented evolution into a Plant Queen and imposed a limited lifespan. She might have reached D-grade under Heda’s later care, but died before doing so. Relationships

Heda was Vivi’s creator and entrusted her to Zac. Zac accepted her despite knowing her life was limited and came to regard their journey as a genuine bond rather than temporary stewardship. (Chapters 815 and 1174)
