Uzu Huso is a newly ascended wandering Hegemon whose greed and open manner conceal his work for forces infiltrating Zecia.

Biography

Role in the wider conflict

Uzu joins the Zenith Vigil only five years after reaching Hegemony and cultivates the image of a fortunate, boisterous treasure hunter, even displaying a rare Longevity Pearl to tempt others toward the dangerous lake. After sabotaging the Spatial Cortex, he reveals that he has chosen the invaders because he believes Zecia's factions are doomed and their methods offer safer advancement. He tries to recruit Zac, demands Vai's death as proof, and then attacks while using the conversation to recover. His hidden techniques and foreign augmentation prolong the fight, but Zac destroys his core and head; the parasite in Uzu's corpse then attempts to seize a new host, exposing the price behind his unnatural resilience. Appearance and personality

Uzu presents himself as a loud, smiling warrior eager to celebrate good fortune. Zac gradually recognizes the performance as cover for a patient schemer who manipulates other cultivators' greed and hides his real technique. His final offer frames betrayal as realism, but requiring an innocent death shows how thoroughly expedience has displaced loyalty. (Chapters 873 and 879)

Abilities and cultivation

Uzu is an early-stage Hegemon with large energy reserves and a sword path. He shifts from heroic broadsword swings to a far more refined two-scimitar technique, creates blade storms, and uses a self-destructing sword treasure containing powerful Sword Intent. Foreign dark-red strands hold grievous wounds together and launch a malevolent thorn, but this augmentation does not restore his damaged core and becomes a hostile parasite after death. Items

Uzu finds an early D-grade fire-attuned Longevity Pearl, later taken by Zac. He also carries a hidden sword-beam ring, two scimitars, and a broadsword that destroys itself to release sealed Sword Intent. These possessions are looted or expended when he dies. (Chapters 873, 879, and 927)

Relationships

• Zac Atwood: Uzu mistakes Zac's disguised restraint for vulnerability and tries to recruit or kill him; Zac rejects the bargain and executes him. (Chapter 879)
