Sevona

Sevona is the central deity of the recurring Hunting Lodge scenario in the Mercurial Court. Whether she was once a historical ruler or emerged entirely from collective belief remains unresolved.

Biography

Role in the wider conflict

The surviving account presents Sevona as the perpetual Godqueen of a small kingdom who returned to her hunting lodge to replenish dream-based divinity. That act allowed power to spill through a dimensional weak point, creating the recurring hunt that later attracts explorers and infiltrators. Her personal motives are preserved only through the scenario, so her agency cannot be separated with certainty from the Dream Gestalt formed by communal belief. Even so, the hunt bearing her identity grants blessings and materially alters Zac's later cultivation. (Chapters 1378–1381, 1408, and 1420)

Appearance and personality

No reliable physical description or direct speech survives. Titles such as Earth Deity and Godqueen suggest a revered sovereign persona, but the scenario may reflect worshippers' expectations rather than a historical individual's exact personality. (Chapters 1379–1381)

Abilities and cultivation

Sevona's manifested divinity is dream-based and strongest near the lodge, where illusion and reality overlap. Her recurring scenario can create a vast hunting ground, distribute rewards, and grant blessings. Whether these are her original powers or properties of the Peregrine Ocean is uncertain. (Chapters 1381 and 1408–1420)

Items

The Hunting Lodge is her manifested seat and the focus of the scenario, not a confirmed carried item.

Relationships

Sevona is connected to the kingdom whose collective belief may have created or sustained her. Later Explorer's Guild members revere her as a goddess and compete in the hunt associated with her return. (Chapters 1378–1381)
