Boje Zethaya is a junior alchemist and negotiator whose attempt to recruit Zac unexpectedly entangles him with greater clan politics and the Left Imperial Palace.

Biography

Role in the wider conflict

Boje meets Zac over a unique soul-mending treasure and refuses a simple coin sale, offering it as recruitment payment for dangerous restricted-realm missions or in exchange for research valuables. He also activates the Pill House's protections when violence erupts, defending neutral ground rather than abandoning the negotiation. The encounter later draws scrutiny from the Zethaya matriarch and places Boje on a much larger path. After Kan'Tanu captivity forcibly raises his cultivation and damages his foundations, he accepts Laz's instruction to stop leveling, purify himself, and learn. He survives to advise the Atwood council on the prohibitive energy cost of intersector relocation. (Chapters 395–396, 676, 1114, and 1269)

Appearance and personality

Boje is a man in blue Zethaya robes, initially an early E-grade junior. He is courteous, commercially careful, and uncomfortable with conflict, but willing to invoke clan defenses and explain hard limits. Abilities and cultivation

His path centers on alchemy, pill research, toxicity reduction, and evaluating rare medicinal resources. Kan'Tanu methods force him to Hegemony but leave unstable, resource-heavy foundations, so his later development requires purification rather than additional levels or treasures.
