Role in the wider conflict

Everlasting Peace led the community at Mount Everlasting Peace but spent a period in seclusion, unavailable even when visitors wished to say farewell. He later left Earth when it needed defenders and returned only after the Fifth Pillar stirred, choosing not to contact or help Zac afterward. When confronted with that history, he calmly accepted that “traitor” was a fair description and admitted mistakes committed for what he called the greater good. (Chapters 187 and 1376)

The Abbot nevertheless acted decisively during the later formation struggle. He cleansed resentment around a Formation Node, then used an unremarkable lotus leaf and sacrificed his own lifespan to build a seventh karmic path because of Catheya’s abilities and connection to Zac Atwood. The choice provided a new route while withering his aura, showing a willingness to pay personally even after acknowledging that he had exhausted his Karma with Zac. (Chapter 1376)

Everlasting Peace is a monk who joins his hands in prayer and maintains a calm expression even while admitting betrayal. His formal humility coexists with secretive, utilitarian decisions made in the name of a greater good. (Chapter 1376)
