Simyon's Lightning Glove

Simyon's Lightning Glove is an enchanted weapon Raze creates to extend Simyon's defensive Steel Body into an electrified full-body state. Used with elemental beads selected by Amir, it turns contact with Simyon into another layer of danger during the battle with Sha Mo.

History

Lightning Body

Raze crafts the glove for Simyon before the confrontation with Sha Mo. Simyon places it against Amir's selected beads and draws the resulting lightning around his whole body, combining electrical offense with the extraordinary hardness developed through the Black Steel Earring and Neverfall training. (Chapters 875–876)

After Simyon's death, Dame's separate cursed gauntlets can reproduce his electrified defensive traits. That later manifestation does not establish that Dame owns the original glove, whose physical disposition is not narrated. (Chapters 1146–1152 and 1353–1354)

Abilities and properties

• Generates lightning and can energize companion elemental beads. (Chapters 875–876)
• Sheathes Simyon's body in electricity when combined with his other equipment and cultivated toughness. (Chapters 875–876)
• Does not independently grant Dame lightning; his later effect comes through the distinct Wrath of the Forgotten gauntlets. (Chapters 1149–1152)
