Alba's Cursed Twin Swords

Alba's Cursed Twin Swords are the paired Legendary weapons Raze crafts to fulfill his promise to the Crimson Crane leader. Each blade can double Alba's overall strength, and using both multiplies the enhancement again, but every activation permanently takes something from her.

History

A promised weapon and a feared price

Alba's association with paired swords predates the completed Legendary set, while Raze repeatedly promises to provide equipment worthy of her role. When he finally produces the cursed blades, their potential is so great that Alba hesitates to activate them: she knows the curse will remove part of her permanently, but cannot predict what will be taken. The earlier paired blades are separate unnamed equipment. (Chapters 407, 687–719, 1115, and 1135)

Killing Kush

Against Kush, Alba activates one blade to double her strength and then the second to double it again, giving her the speed and force to escape his terrain control and pierce his heart. One cost is immediately identifiable—permanent hearing loss in her left ear. Because she invokes both swords but can identify only one loss, she ends the fight knowing that a second, unknown part of her may also be gone. (Chapters 1159–1160)

Abilities and properties

• Each sword can double Alba's overall physical and Qi-backed strength; using both produces a fourfold combined increase. (Chapter 1159)
• Every activation permanently removes something from Alba, and the selected loss is not predictable in advance. (Chapters 1159–1160)
• One confirmed cost is total hearing loss in her left ear; the second cost from the dual activation remains unknown. (Chapter 1160)
