Yellum

Yellum is a commanding member of the Cerebus Guild's elite squad stationed at one of Gizin's hidden facilities. She combines broad elemental training with an acquired golden Light affinity that grants flight, destructive beams, and extreme regeneration.

Biography

Discovery of the facility raid

When the facility's staff fail to report, Yellum immediately breaks the observation glass, identifies that the site has been deliberately infiltrated, and orders an unrestricted search. She and the other elite mages descend on Alen, Beatrix Highborn, and their soldiers, intending to destroy the witnesses before Gizin's operation can be exposed. Her cool authority and knowledge of elite capabilities make her the squad's practical field leader. (Chapters 1555–1561)

Duel with Beatrix and retreat

Yellum studies Beatrix's phasing sword, forces her to defend allies with wide attacks, and relies on golden healing to erase injuries. Beatrix's Blood Qi transformation overturns that confidence: it absorbs or cancels Yellum's light, obliterates her arm before regeneration restores it, and kills the other Cerebus elites. Yellum keeps her distance, launches a final condensed beam, then recognizes that her strongest attack has failed and escapes over the horizon. She remains the only confirmed squad member to flee and is expected to report the raid, but the supplied corpus gives no later resolution. (Chapters 1562–1567)

Appearance and personality

Yellum has short, angled black hair brushing her ears and carries quiet authority without needing to shout. In her enhanced state she manifests radiant golden wings. She is analytical and tactically perceptive, but ideologically committed to the guild's sacrifices; her composure collapses into fear when Beatrix demonstrates power outside her expectations.

Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Yellum is an elite mage capable of standard elemental spellcraft, including freezing gusts and serpent-like water jets, as well as raw mana blasts. Her enhanced Light affinity is described as power the Cerebus members “gained” and developed, not proven innate talent. It produces hovering wings, guided laser-like beams, defensive bursts, wide destructive columns, and continual healing that can reconstruct an entire lost arm.

Her regeneration depends on the golden energy and does not prevent pain, panic, or temporary disablement. Blood Qi can absorb or counter the light, and sufficiently unfamiliar force can erase tissue faster than her defense anticipates. Maintaining distance is her best demonstrated answer to a stronger close-range opponent; when even her ultimate condensed beam fails, retreat is her only remaining option.

  • Alen: The commander whose unit raids the facility and whose identity Yellum can report.

Items

No named personal item is established. Her wings, healing, and golden attacks are manifestations of acquired power rather than a clearly identified carried artifact.
