Song is the River Moon Guild’s master and a lightning specialist who refuses the Noble Guild’s coercive rule.

Biography

Refusing the Noble Guild

After the River Moon Guild is damaged, Song receives Noble Guild representative Natty without revealing that he has sheltered Raze’s group. He calmly challenges her implied threat and refuses safety or status bought at the expense of his people. When fighting begins, his focused lightning breaks her barrier, but her enhanced defense redirects the element and leaves his arm badly injured before Raze intervenes. (Chapters 1672–1677)

Rallying the northern resistance

Healed enough to resume leadership, Song urges Raze to invite every remaining northern organization and opens River Moon territory for the meeting. Trubin’s massacre destroys much of that effort, and Song directs healers, secures the perimeter, and reports the wider purge. He ultimately stays to protect his weakened guild rather than join the small assault force, while sincerely wishing Raze success. (Chapters 1682–1690)

Appearance and personality

Song is introduced with a relaxed posture and sharp, observant eyes. He remains composed under interrogation, values the safety and freedom of his members over personal advancement, and combines political realism with a willingness to resist.

Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Song specializes in precise lightning magic. He can project separate streams from all five fingers and concentrate them on multiple barrier points until the defense shatters. His offense depends substantially on arm and hand control; after redirected lightning disables one arm, the narration states that nearly half his offensive power is lost. Relationships

Song protects the River Moon Guild and becomes a host and strategic ally to Raze. He rejects Idore's order as presented by Natty and later coordinates closely with Kelly, Liam, and the surviving resistance.
