Plon

Plon is a friendly Wanderer who leads a small portal party and accepts the disguised Raze Cromwell as its fifth member. His large shield and willingness to follow sound advice make him a practical defensive fighter rather than a glory-seeker.

Biography

The mist portal expedition

Plon welcomes the apparently unaffiliated “Jake” when other groups reject him, asking only that the newcomer support the party from the rear. Inside the portal, Raze's superior reading of its dangers becomes clear, and Plon places survival above pride: during the dog-beast attack he tells the party to close their eyes, listen, and follow Raze's directions while he advances his shield blindly. The group escapes the portal, and Plon bows in gratitude after learning they had traveled with members of the Crimson Crane. His subsequent activities are not established. (Chapters 329–344)

Appearance and personality

Plon is a young man with a friendly smile and a large shield carried on his back. He is open enough to recruit a stranger, protective of his companions, and notably willing to revise his judgment when that stranger proves more knowledgeable. He does not resent Raze for taking effective command.
