Natty
Natty Salnta is a former Central Academy star and six-star wind mage serving the original Noble Guild. Sent to force the River Moon Guild into Noble Land, she combines exceptional wind control with the Noble Guild's metallic-body enhancement. Raze Cromwell kills her after she refuses surrender; his later appearances in her form are a disguise, not Natty's survival.
Biography
River Moon ultimatum
Natty arrives with two Noble elites and orders Guild Master Song to join the Noble Guild and relocate his people. She presents submission as safety and power, but her prepared arguments leave no meaningful freedom: refusal means destruction. Her careful observation of used tea cups reveals recent visitors, and she presses the guild while wrestling briefly with the morality of Grand Magus rule. She ultimately chooses the promised “new order” and enforces it through threat. (Chapters 1674–1676)
Battle and death
Song's resistance and Raze's arrival turn the coercion into open battle. Natty's wind overwhelms the room, redirects lightning through the Noble body's conductive transformation, and lets her fly, pull, and throw opponents. She recognizes that she cannot defeat Raze but continues fighting. Offered life in exchange for information, she refuses and begins a mana-core Breakthrough intended to level the room. Raze drives a sword through her chest before it activates; dying, she warns that other guilds face extermination and asks him to save them. He then destroys her remains with corrosive Dark magic. (Chapters 1676–1679)
The Natty disguise
Chapters after Natty's death repeatedly show her face and voice, but these are not returns to life. Raze uses the Face Change Mask to copy Natty and enter Noble Land, while Kelly supplies contextual guidance. A guard's field report confirms that the real Natty died, forcing Raze to abandon the identity, and later discussion says posing as her again is no longer viable. These disguise scenes therefore establish Natty's likeness as an infiltration tool, not later actions or relationships of Natty herself. (Chapters 1692–1696, 1703, and 1705)
Appearance and personality
Natty carries herself with the composure and haughtiness of a former academy celebrity who expects her reputation to be recognized. The corpus emphasizes her controlled manner and enhanced metallic body more than ordinary facial details. She is observant, disciplined, and capable of moral hesitation, but loyalty to Noble rule and refusal to betray it remain stronger than self-preservation until her final warning turns concern toward the guilds still marked for death. (Chapters 1674–1679)
Magic, cultivation, and abilities
Natty is a six-star mage specializing in wind. She surrounds her arms with currents, creates large-scale gusts and a tornado, extends wind into long limb-like forces that seize and throw targets, and sustains herself in the air. Defensive currents redirect attacks and control spacing. Her large outputs consume mana normally, and despite their area and mobility they cannot overcome Raze's Dark magic and close sword attack. (Chapters 1674–1679)
The Noble Guild has strengthened Natty beyond her celebrated academy level by transforming her body with metal. That state interacts with Song's lightning: rather than suffering ordinary conduction, the energy spreads through and becomes strong enough for her to redirect. The exact procedure, permanence, and full limits are not explained, and it should not be mistaken for an innate wind spell. Raze's physical and magical pressure still penetrates the enhancement. (Chapters 1676–1679)
Natty's attempted Breakthrough overloads her mana core to release raw energy in an explosion described as capable of leveling the room. It is a fatal last resort rather than a sustainable progression, and it never completes because Raze kills her during activation. Her latest personal state is therefore death, not the mask-assisted windless imitation used afterward. (Chapter 1679)
Relationships
- Raze Cromwell: Natty recognizes that she cannot defeat Raze but rejects his offer to live as an informant. He kills her, destroys her remains, and later uses her likeness to infiltrate Noble Land.
- Guild Master Song: Natty tries to coerce Song and the River Moon Guild into joining Noble rule. His refusal produces the confrontation in which Raze intervenes.
- Noble Guild: Natty serves as one of its original elites, receives its metallic-body enhancement, and follows extermination orders despite questioning their morality.
Items
- Face Change Mask: The mask belongs to Raze, not Natty. After her death it reproduces her body and voice for infiltration; its use must not be treated as evidence that Natty survives or acts in Chapters 1692–1705. (Chapters 1692–1705)
