Hannah

Hannah is a Dawnblade Clan student, direct disciple of Beatrix Highborn, and one of the Light Faction Academy's strongest young fighters. Her tournament victories establish disciplined command of traditional sword arts, while the conflict around Murkel and Raze tests whether faction loyalty should outweigh the people she has actually watched fight for one another.

Biography

Dawnblade's tournament hope

Hannah enters the faction tournament carrying the pressure of the Dawnblade Clan's damaged reputation. The Elders send a priceless pendant and the command that she must not lose, while Beatrix privately tells her not to die. Hannah competes as the Light Faction's leading remaining student, directs teammates under pressure, and resents Liam for copying a technique she spent years perfecting. Rather than lose herself in anger, she studies his imitations, overwhelms him with unrevealed fundamentals, and wins their duel. (Chapters 610–647)

Before facing Safa, Hannah returns the Elders' pendant after inferring that using it would unfairly enhance her. She wants victory through her own training and hopes to become the Light Faction's strongest student without borrowed intervention. Safa deliberately conserves strength for the wider crisis and yields after an extended defensive exchange, sending Hannah forward. Although the match does not prove their absolute relative strength, Hannah's choice demonstrates that clan pressure has not displaced her sense of fairness. (Chapters 652–654)

Witness to the faction collapse

When the tournament becomes open conflict, Hannah remains with Beatrix and Ricar rather than entering fights beyond her level. Watching Dark, Demonic, and clanless fighters protect one another complicates what she has been taught: she finds herself supporting students labeled enemies and questions choices made solely for the Light Faction. She refuses to flee while Beatrix and Ricar stay, helps operate beneath the arena, and objects when Ricar's terrain intervention endangers the person fighting Murkel. (Chapters 662–755)

Hannah escapes with the two Dawnblade elders and returns to the Light Faction, where rival clan heads suspect the trio because they alone remained in the arena after the mass displacement. She keeps silent about Ricar taking the terrain device, preserving Dawnblade interests despite her earlier doubts about his decisions. Chapter 815 is her last direct narrative appearance: she is alive and beside Beatrix and Ricar, but the corpus does not establish her role after the resulting political inquiry. Appearance and personality

Hannah is a young blond woman roughly a head shorter than Beatrix. She wears Dawnblade's Light Faction presentation and fights with a sword; at the tournament she also wears the Elders' white-gold pendant with a gold center before returning it. No later fixed change in her appearance is established. (Chapters 610 and 653)

She is earnest, competitive, observant, and strongly attached to her mentor. Hannah prays despite Beatrix's preference for hard work, wants to prove authentic skill against copied techniques, and can recognize a weakness while under pressure. Her insistence on following Beatrix into danger and her growing sympathy for opposing students show personal loyalty and fairness beginning to compete with inherited faction doctrine. Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Light Qi and Dawnblade sword arts

Hannah channels Light Qi into her sword and body through years of Dawnblade training. Her foundational Moonlight Strike coats the blade in bright Qi for sustained exchanges, while Half-Moon Block redirects heavy attacks. Three Moonlight Hops converts three changes of position into an explosive impact, Full Moon Strike uses a circular cut to disarm, and Piercing Light concentrates a finishing thrust. The techniques work as a sequence of movement, defense, and control rather than as magic, and their effectiveness depends on her cultivated Qi and practiced body. (Chapters 619, 645–647)

Hannah is particularly strong in fundamentals and tactical adjustment. Against Liam, she notices that copied movements lack the original practitioners' Qi types and body conditioning, survives attacks drawn from multiple factions, then denies his predictive advantage by using techniques he has not observed. She can also wrap her body in sword-like Qi to cut through external pressure and maintain elegant, rapid attacks against Safa's spear defense. Stronger middle-stage adults and Hybrid battlefields remain beyond her demonstrated scale, and no later cultivation rank is given. (Chapters 636, 645–654, and 680–755)

Leadership and judgment

As the strongest member of several Light Faction student groups, Hannah assigns roles, changes targets, and keeps frightened teammates moving. She also solves cooperative tournament tasks effectively. Her command is not infallible: Raze's intervention breaks her first plan, and her judgments occur within incomplete faction information. The later crisis develops her ability to distinguish observed conduct from faction labels, but the corpus ends before showing whether that outlook changes her formal role. Relationships

• Beatrix Highborn: Beatrix is Hannah's direct teacher and an older-sister figure despite no blood relation. Hannah values her instruction, returns the Elders' pendant rather than seek an unfair advantage, and refuses to leave danger without her.
• Ricar: Ricar is Hannah's clan head and guardian during the tournament collapse. She openly challenges his terrain decision when it endangers Raze's side, yet escapes with him and later helps conceal his custody of the terrain device.
• Liam: Hannah initially resents Liam for copying her Moonlight technique. Their duel becomes a test of reproduction against mastery, and her use of unrevealed Dawnblade fundamentals gives her the victory.
• Safa: Hannah faces Safa as the Light Faction's shining star against the Dark Faction's backbone. She wins when Safa yields to conserve power; the scene does not establish that Hannah would defeat Safa at full commitment.
• Raze Cromwell: Hannah first opposes Raze during team events, then watches him and his allies protect students across faction lines. Her concern when Ricar endangers his occupied body reflects the erosion of her initial enemy label.

• Elders' pendant: A white-gold pendant with a gold center shaped like an “I,” presented as priceless and apparently connected to the Light Faction's hidden assistance.
