Slumbering Wraith
Slumbering Wraith is a recurring character or sentient entity in Cradle. Imprisoned source of the Dreadgod experiments and labyrinth authority.
Biography
Books 9–12
Imprisoned and feeding through the labyrinth for ages. The governing motive is to end the Monarch-fed hunger system and prevent Shen replacing him. Acting on that priority, the character attacks explorers through labyrinth; gives Lindon an echo/blessing; reveals Monarch causation. The resulting choices connect the character to the phase's central relationships and pressures, including labyrinth prison; Reigan Shen. (Chapters 203–216)
Appearance and personality
White flesh, hunger aura, chained body on a throne; ancient, bitter, half-lost, and desperate for release.

Hunger and labyrinth control
Animates hunger echoes/ghouls, shifts rooms, drains intruders, and exerts authority throughout the labyrinth. Limits include ancient seals and weakening imprisonment. (Chapters 203; 209–215)
