Mystic Icesword

The Mystic Icesword is Olivier's sword, recovered from a strange freezing pool at the coldest core of the Arctic Icecap. It serves as the weapon through which he delivers his fused light-and-darkness attacks, but no cited chapter establishes that the sword itself generates ice, darkness, light, or soul damage. History

Recovery from the Arctic Icecap

Olivier found the sword only after digging into the Arctic Icecap and reaching a bizarre freezing pool at its coldest point. He called it the Mystic Icesword, but the cited account gives no maker, former owner, or fuller origin. Its name and place of discovery therefore do not by themselves establish an innate ice ability. Olivier's divine battles

Olivier wielded the Mystic Icesword against Beaumont and used it to channel the simultaneous darkness-and-light attack he had developed. The blow created spatial tears, split Beaumont's body, and cut through the Great Botha Levee. Beaumont's soul, however, had already been destroyed by Linley's prior attack, so the sword cannot be credited with that death's spiritual component. (Chapters 403–404)

Olivier later struck Kingsley with the black-and-white attack at full strength, destroying both the target and divine spark. Much later, he still possessed the sword and drove it through the skull of Bonin's restrained clone after Sovereign power had weakened the captive's resistance. No cited chapter records the sword's loss or transfer. (Chapters 412, 724)

Abilities and properties

The Mystic Icesword is durable enough to survive clashes with divine weapons and to carry Olivier's strongest fused attacks. The spatial tearing, black-and-white energy, and destructive force shown around its blade are expressions of Olivier's coinciding light-and-darkness technique. The sources do not give the sword a separately activated power or state that it strengthens those laws on its own. (Chapters 403–404, 412)

Its demonstrated effectiveness is also contextual. Beaumont had already suffered a fatal soul attack before Olivier's strike, and Bonin's clone was restrained and deprived of the Sovereign power that had strengthened it. These scenes prove the sword's continued usability, not unrestricted lethality against every divine opponent. (Chapters 404, 724)

Ownership and custody

Olivier personally recovered the Mystic Icesword from the Arctic Icecap and remained its sole cited holder. He carried it through his battles with Beaumont and Kingsley and still wielded it in the Bonin confrontation. The allowed sources record no blood binding, loan, capture, transformation, or later loss. (Chapters 401, 403–404, 412, 724)
