Golden Soul-Pearl

A Golden Soul-Pearl is a consumable concentration of refined soul essence. It can be absorbed directly to nourish and strengthen a soul, making it both a valuable restorative and a traded Infernal Realm commodity. (Chapters 417, 461, 505)

History

The Grand Warlock's pearl

Linley acquired a Golden Soul-Pearl from the Grand Warlock that had been formed from the essences of twenty million souls. He gave that intact pearl to one of his divine clones to absorb, while his original body drew on separate liquid soul essence obtained through the Coiling Dragon Ring; the two resources were not the same item. (Chapter 417)

An Infernal Realm commodity

In the Infernal Realm, Linley learned that Golden Soul-Pearls were sold as ready-to-use soul strengtheners and that creating them required methods of the Edicts of Death. Learmonth later consumed another pearl to replenish spiritual energy after a difficult battle, and Golden Soul-Pearls continued to appear as distributed treasures at Dragonblood Castle. (Chapters 461, 505, 769)

Abilities and properties

When swallowed or absorbed, a pearl releases refined soul essence that nourishes the user's soul, increases soul strength, and can restore expended spiritual energy. Unlike amethyst, it requires no further refinement by the consumer. Its benefit is finite and consumable rather than a permanent artifact function. (Chapters 461, 505)

Ownership and custody

The Grand Warlock held the specific pearl later taken by Linley, who transferred it to his divine clone for immediate absorption. Other Golden Soul-Pearls were independently made, sold, consumed, or distributed, so their later appearances represent additional specimens rather than the survival of Linley's consumed pearl.
