Weiss shares command with Radiant Cardinal Guillermo and approaches the Baruch fortifications as a strategist rather than a ceremonial cleric. He probes defenses with ninth-rank infiltrators, accepts losses in exchange for information, and prepares an all-night assault while preserving a hidden trump card. The plan collapses when Linley's Ratmageddon annihilates the massed army on a scale conventional siege calculations cannot absorb.
