Journey across the Infernal Realm

Salomon travels with his younger sister Nisse and initially presents himself to Linley as an ordinary Highgod joining the same escort mission. He conceals his descent from the wealthy Boyd clan because enemies seek its fortune, balancing genuine care for Nisse against a secrecy that prevents their companions from understanding the danger around him. (Chapters 482–493)

When the convoy is attacked and his identity is exposed, Salomon becomes suspicious that Linley's group betrayed him. Under pressure he deliberately creates chaos to escape, separating Nisse from Bebe and leaving lasting resentment even after the immediate danger passes. His later survival does not repair the trust destroyed by that choice. (Chapters 493–738)
