Hunt for Reisgem and death

Montelo assembled a powerful group to exploit Reisgem's conflict with Bayer, using white light strands and coordinated innate abilities to restrain Reisgem's party. When the encounter turned, he fled and sacrificed his own elderly servant as a shield against Bebe's Godeater ability. Montelo then bargained, attacked, and tried to delay until escape became possible, but Linley confined him long enough for Bebe to recover and kill him. (Chapters 681–685, 691–694)

Montelo is a golden-haired youth whose refined appearance marks his privileged status. (Chapter 681)

He is confident when protected by numbers, tactically alert, and ruthlessly self-preserving when defeat threatens. (Chapters 681–685, 691–693)

Montelo uses light-based strands, soul attacks, Sovereign's Might, and a defensive Sovereign artifact, but has no defense against Godeater. (Chapters 684, 691–694)
