McKenzie Jacques

Biography

Patriarch, host, and peer

McKenzie entered the Saint level before age two hundred and became the living authority behind the Jacques clan. He welcomed Linley as an equal, hosted his party in the restricted quiet park, and sparred with him to exchange insights. When Albert abused clan forces, McKenzie intervened immediately, stripped the youth of succession, and protected the clan from a needless feud; his respectful discussion of the Laws of the Wind deepened the friendship. (Chapters 190, 198–199, 212–213, 218–219, 222–225)

Appearance

McKenzie has a ramrod-straight back and white-flecked hair, with the restrained bearing of an older warrior. (Chapter 222)

Personality

He is hospitable to worthy peers, decisive within his family, and humble enough to ask a younger expert about unfamiliar insights. (Chapters 218–219, 222–225)

Abilities and powers

McKenzie is a mid-stage Saint whose battle-qi and martial experience are formidable, though Linley's wind sword exceeds his speed. (Chapters 212–213, 218–219, 222–225)

Relationships

He is the Jacques clan's revered ancestor, Albert's ultimate disciplinarian, and Linley's sparring partner and friend. (Chapters 190, 198–199, 212–213, 218–219, 222–225)
