Learmonth
Learmonth is a cold, mission-focused Fiend whose swordsmanship and appetite for difficult battles make him the decisive fighter in Linley's early Infernal Realm convoy. A breakthrough against Elquin raises him from Six Star standing to Seven Star-level combat power. (Chapters 481–505)
Biography
Arrival And Survival In The Infernal Realm
Learmonth escorts the Fiend mission through ambushes and the sand castle, refusing unnecessary city contact because secrecy matters more to him than comfort. He kills Inigo with one sword strike, then challenges Elquin despite the latter's Seven Star reputation. Elquin's speed and whip initially push him toward defeat, but the pressure enables Learmonth to fuse the powers and mysteries carried by his fire and destruction divine clones. The breakthrough reverses the duel, kills Elquin, and gives Learmonth the level of combat he had sought through danger. (Chapters 481–505)
Appearance and personality
Learmonth is a long-robed swordsman with a cold, callous manner. He protects the mission because failure is unacceptable, not because he is affectionate, and deliberately seeks experts capable of forcing his swordsmanship beyond its current limit. (Chapters 481–505)
Abilities and cultivation
Learmonth has Highgod clones associated with fire and destruction and fights almost entirely through the sword. He begins with Six Star Fiend standing; fusing the relevant divine powers and profound mysteries during the Elquin duel elevates his practical strength to the Seven Star level. (Chapters 481–505)
Relationships
- Elquin: Learmonth chooses Elquin as the stronger challenge and kills him after breaking through mid-duel. (Chapters 503–505)
- Inigo: He ends Inigo's inheritance scheme with a single sword strike. (Chapters 503–504)
- Linley Baruch: Learmonth's strict mission conduct helps protect the convoy that carries Linley's group. (Chapters 481–496)
