Journey to the Amethyst Mountains

Jenkin travels alone toward the Amethyst Mountains, bitterly reflecting on how far his life has fallen in the Infernal Realm before regaining his composure. Linley's group rescues and transports him, and their conversation restores his ease enough for him to describe his distant homeland and thank them sincerely for their protection. (Chapters 509–511)

Once safely inside the mountains, Jenkin separates from Linley to harvest amethysts and joins three other Gods. His early luck encourages the group deeper into terrain they do not fully understand; a Devourwind consumes them during the mountain's swallowing phase, and Bebe later mourns Jenkin as an inexperienced victim of that hazard.
