Biography

Survival during the Fog Wave

Jarrod invited Delia to abandon her God-level companions and join him and Garlan, assuming the weaker travelers would be liabilities. When an amethyst beast pursued the pair, Jarrod repeatedly shielded Garlan, lost and regenerated an arm, and considered sacrificing a divine clone. They drew the beast toward Linley's group for help, then acknowledged their selfishness after Linley and Bebe drove it away and joined the larger party during the Fog Wave. Appearance

Jarrod is a silver-haired man who carries a flaming longsword or warblade. (Chapters 514–515, 517)

Personality

He is cautious and initially dismissive, but loyal to Garlan and honest enough to apologize when desperation leads him to endanger others. (Chapters 514–515, 517–518)

Abilities and powers

Jarrod is a Highgod with rapid bodily regeneration, weapon skill, doppelgangers, and at least one additional divine clone. (Chapter 517)

Relationships

Garlan is his trusted survival partner; his view of Linley and Bebe changes from contempt to gratitude after their rescue. (Chapters 514–515, 517–520)
