Hodan

Biography

Overseer of planar passage

Hodan attends Wharton's engagement as a seemingly amiable white-haired elder, then privately offers Linley the choice of leaving Yulan for a higher plane. As Planar Overseer, he explains the opportunity and urges a decision, but cannot compel a Saint to depart; Linley refuses, choosing unfinished ties and duties in his home plane. (Chapters 246–249)

Hodan continues operating the Arctic Icecap teleportation array as Yulan's divine population changes. He receives travelers, explains planar destinations, and remains the procedural gatekeeper when Linley's circle eventually moves between Yulan and the higher planes, preserving neutrality amid conflicts among powers far stronger than ordinary Saints. (Chapters 307–623)
