Higginson

Biography

Choosing survival in the Necropolis

Higginson lived among Desri's secluded Saints and stood near the highest human tier before the Necropolis expedition. Inside the monument he helped search for exits while stronger fighters held off the Flame Tyrant, and Desri personally pulled him clear of a lethal axe stroke. Hayward's death convinced Higginson to stop on the sixth floor rather than let pride carry him into the still more dangerous upper levels. (Chapters 286–289, 312, 334, 343, 345)
