Chegwin

Biography

The Planar Battlefield

The Augusta clan recruits Chegwin alongside Oman and Magnus to attack Reisgem's group. His Sovereign artifacts let him absorb physical punishment that would destroy ordinary commanders, and he battles Reihom without being quickly eliminated. Much later, Chegwin pursues Brodie's supposed talisman with his own subordinates, restrains Linley Baruch while a decoy is seized, and boasts after apparently succeeding. When the false object breaks, Linley retaliates by forcing Chegwin through a spatial tear and casting him into chaotic space. (Chapters 695–698, 708, 740–744)

Appearance and personality

Chegwin wears long green robes and carries himself with the confidence of someone unusually difficult to kill. His composure becomes boastfulness during the talisman hunt, and that certainty keeps him from anticipating Linley's punishment. (Chapters 695–698, 740–744)

Abilities and cultivation

Chegwin is a commander-level Highgod equipped with a soul-protecting Sovereign artifact and a defensive Sovereign artifact. The paired protections make him exceptionally durable, although they cannot prevent Linley from physically driving him into chaotic space. (Chapters 695–698, 708, 740–744)
