Blumer Akerlund

Biography

Rivalry for Nina

Blumer uses his position as the War God's personal disciple to press his suit for Nina while Wharton is also courting her. He accepts a public duel with Wharton and fights seriously for the political and personal prize, but Emperor Johann ultimately chooses Wharton; Blumer offers congratulations while concealing his disappointment rather than openly defying the decision. (Chapters 209–245)

Olivier's younger brother

Blumer's most unguarded loyalty is to his elder brother Olivier. After Olivier's apparently fatal duel with Haydson, Blumer dives into the Channe River in grief, calling for him; when Olivier survives, the brothers reunite. Later references retain Blumer as Olivier's younger brother but do not establish a separate later fate for him. (Chapters 248–262)

Appearance

The cited scenes identify Blumer as a young male warrior but do not provide a stable, distinctive physical description. (Chapters 209–245)

Personality

He is proud, competitive, status-conscious, and capable of masking resentment in court, yet deeply devoted to Olivier. (Chapters 231–262)

Abilities and powers

Blumer is a talented warrior trained as the War God's personal disciple. His duel with Wharton demonstrates elite martial skill, though he is unable to overcome an activated Dragonblood Warrior. (Chapters 231–235)

Relationships

He is Olivier's younger brother, Wharton's romantic rival, and Nina's unsuccessful suitor. His standing derives partly from direct discipleship under the War God. (Chapters 209–262)
