Biography

Pursuit of a Gold Soul-Pearl

Beaumont emerges from the Gebados Prison Plane and protects the injured Grand Warlock in exchange for a promised Gold Soul-Pearl. When the warlock dies before completing it, Beaumont does not abandon the project: he directs Bloom's organization to gather souls and treats the inhabitants of Yulan as material for the essence he believes he is owed. (Chapters 390–402)

Linley and his allies trace the mass killing back to Beaumont and confront him. Beaumont answers with force, charging Olivier with a deep-blue warblade, but the conspiracy loses its divine patron in the ensuing clash; his reliance on intimidation and harvested souls ends in military defeat rather than the reward he expected. (Chapters 403–417)

He is tall and muscular, wears a black cloak, has gloomy eyes and a fierce face, and carries a deep-blue warblade. (Chapters 402–404)
