Asru

Asru is a Highgod patrol warrior of the Azure Dragon clan. His contempt for the Yulan branch prompts him to challenge Linley Baruch, but a painless defeat forces him to recognize the newcomer without costing him his life. (Chapters 560–563)

Biography

The Four Divine Beasts Clan

While guarding the clan's territory, Asru insults the descendants who remained in Yulan and disparages the Baruch branch. He challenges Linley in order to enforce that contempt, only to be defeated effortlessly. Linley refuses to kill a member of his own clan and uses the encounter to insist on shared kinship. Asru later returns to ordinary patrol duty and complains about the clan's confinement during the siege, showing that humiliation changes his standing less than his certainty. (Chapters 560–563, 573)

Appearance and personality

Asru is a youthful-looking warrior whose initial bearing is arrogant and dismissive. His confidence turns to shock and fear when Linley overwhelms him, though he remains outspoken enough afterward to complain about the clan's restricted life. (Chapters 560–563, 573)

Asru is a Highgod assigned to patrol the Azure Dragon clan's mountain territory. His rank makes him a credible clan warrior, but his brief challenge demonstrates that his practical combat ability is far below Linley's. (Chapters 560–563)
