Warrior's Sword

The Warrior’s Sword is Guardian Queian’s elder-dragon weapon, forged by Amita for the Human World’s warrior and ultimately passed from Locke to In-gong.

History

Queian’s weapon for Locke

The name first occurs when In-gong remembers “Locke’s Warrior’s Sword” among martial-arts techniques, making that early reference ambiguous between Locke’s technique and the later weapon. (Chapter 16) When In-gong subsequently recalls the physical sword, he identifies it as the strongest weapon in Knight Saga: Guardian Queian prepared its materials and imbued them with magic, while Amita performed the forging. (Chapter 73)

Locke carries the sword at his waist when he is first shown in the current world. (Chapter 191) He uses it against Yosarina and the frost worms, projects aura through it against Arch Lich Shutenberg, and carries it as the elder-dragon weapon entrusted to the Human World’s Drakon Kechatulla. (Chapters 207, 209, 213–215)

When Chris proposes that Locke hand the sword to In-gong, who already possesses four elder-dragon relics, Locke explicitly refuses. He states that he has no intention of taking In-gong’s equipment either; at this stage, the two warriors are allies but the sword remains Locke’s. (Chapter 209)

Sanctuary transfer and final handoff

At the Sanctuary, the sword reacts to In-gong’s approach. It flies out of Locke’s hand at the same time that Cruel Talia’s armour leaves Zephyr, and In-gong naturally receives both pieces. This is an item-driven battlefield transfer rather than a voluntary gift from Locke. (Chapter 225) Through the sword, In-gong feels Guardian Queian’s emotions and power; he then wields it against the red dragon, using the hidden move Beta to smash black beasts and tear open the dragon’s magic field. (Chapters 226–227)

Three months later, In-gong meets Locke while holding the sword and attempts to return it. Locke declines to reclaim it. He says the name “Warrior’s Sword” now suits the person who defeated the red dragon and defended peace, asks In-gong to help the Human World if trouble arises, and allows him to place the sword back in his inventory. This deliberate refusal converts In-gong’s battle custody into the sword’s latest settled possession. (Chapter 230)

Abilities and properties

• Aura weapon: The sword can release tremendous concentrations of aura beyond its physical blade. Locke produces a huge sword of amassed aura to pierce a frost worm, sends it across the air against Yosarina, and creates dozens of aura light-swords to defend several allies. (Chapters 207, 214)
• Divine and elder-dragon channel: It carries Guardian Queian’s power and emotions. Its performance can be combined with its wielder’s aura and divine power, and it reacts to danger affecting the elder dragons’ wider mission. (Chapters 207, 220, 226–227)
• Super special moves: Locke uses a destructive super special move in the combined attack on Shutenberg. In-gong later invokes the hidden move Beta, a simple thrust whose white discharge destroys black beasts and scars the red dragon’s magic field. (Chapters 214, 227)
• Cutting hostile influence: Locke uses the blade’s power while confronting Shutenberg’s compulsion and channels attacks into the lich’s defenses and magic. (Chapters 213–215)
• Limits and costs: The sword’s projections depend on the wielder’s available aura and divine power. Locke’s large-scale attacks consume substantial personal power, and even the Warrior’s Sword does not immediately overcome Yosarina’s frost armour while the cold sustains it. (Chapters 207, 227)

Ownership and custody
