El Ragra

El Ragra, the Ring of Conquest, is Recorder Torres's elder-dragon equipment, a support relic designed to collect and amplify the mixed powers wielded by a Conquest Knight and dragon warrior.

History

Recorder Torres's Ring

Recorder Torres leaves a platinum ring with a blue gem at the Dragon Temple a thousand years before the present story. The lizardman high priest keeps it until In-gong arrives as Drakon Kechatulla, then hands it to him. The ring shrinks to fit In-gong and triggers Torres's final record, which explains the red dragon, the Four Riders, and Torres's hope that a future Conquest Knight will gather the elder dragons' equipment. By the time In-gong wakes from that vision, he wears the now-named El Ragra on his index finger and recognizes it as his fourth elder-dragon artifact. (Chapters 170–171)

Conversion and the Ring of Conquest

In-gong gives El Ragra to Amita for conversion. Amita warns that the small ring contains roughly ten times as many magic patterns as an armour project they use for comparison, making the work slow enough to conflict with other commissions. When the ring next appears in battle, it has been integrated with Earth Quaker. In-gong activates it against the first fairy king's demonic god, and El Ragra gathers aura, magic power, divinity, Dragon Blood, and contributions from his other elder-dragon equipment into layered rings before amplifying the resulting attack. The blow destroys both the demonic god and the magic vortex, but also exhausts In-gong and Green Wind, so the result is not evidence of effortless or unlimited amplification. Unified Elder-Dragon Equipment

El Ragra emerges with In-gong's other elder-dragon equipment during his restoration as Dhrtarastra's incarnation. It is the first relic to re-equip itself, returning to ring form on his right hand even though it had previously been housed in Earth Quaker. In the battle with the red dragon, the ring again strengthens a combined attack, this time coordinating the dual-core power received from Caitlin with Earth Quaker and Great Enkidu. It remains in In-gong's use at its latest explicit appearance; no later loss, transfer, or destruction is stated. (Chapters 223–224 and 227)

Abilities and properties

• El Ragra is secondary support equipment rather than a direct weapon. Recorder Torres creates it for the future Conquest Knight to gather and manage the varied powers of several elder-dragon artifacts. (Chapters 171 and 191)
• Its defining function is to collect and amplify compatible power. In the Sky Forest battle, it organizes aura, magic power, and divinity into separate rotating rings, then enlarges the combined white attack as it passes through El Ragra's golden ring. (Chapter 191)
• The relic can coordinate power from Earth Quaker, White Eagle, Night Watch, Dragon Blood, and In-gong's own cores. The corpus does not provide a numeric multiplier, independent energy reserve, recharge time, or proof that El Ragra can create power without sources to gather. (Chapters 190–191, 223, and 227)
• El Ragra contains an exceptionally dense array of magic patterns. Its conversion is difficult even for Amita and requires more time than initially planned, establishing craft complexity as a practical limit on modifying it. (Chapter 184)
• The ring resizes itself for an accepted user and can later move back onto In-gong's finger under its own power. Its temporary integration into Earth Quaker does not prevent that return to independent ring form. (Chapters 170, 190, and 224)
