Altesia

Altesia is the Dark Saintess favored by Erebos, god of darkness. Guided by an oracle to Zephyr, she joins his northern coalition and uses curses and large-scale divine miracles against dragons, undead armies, and the red dragon.

Biography

Dark Saintess in the Northern Coalition

Altesia is first discussed through In-gong's memories of Knight Saga, where joining Zephyr was only one possible route; that game outcome is not her present history. In the actual timeline, Erebos' oracle identifies Zephyr as the protagonist, prompting her to ride north with twenty church knights and willingly join his force. She disables the white dragon Callosa with layered curses, supports the assault on Shutenberg's undead, and works beside the saintess Beatrice to erase vast formations through paired miracles. Those feats repeatedly exhaust her, but she continues praying during the red dragon battle, survives, and remains beside Zephyr at In-gong's coronation. Appearance and personality

Altesia is a young woman with pale skin and long black hair compared to the night. At her formal introduction she wears gold, rides a black unicorn, and covers her eyes with black cloth. Rumor says her concealed eyes are golden like the moon, but the narrator does not directly confirm their color. (Chapter 183)

Despite her dark title and formidable magic, Altesia is bright, talkative, and playfully provocative. She openly calls herself Zephyr's fiancée, jokes during lethal battles, and maintains a smile under pressure, though the approach of Shutenberg briefly wipes it away. Her humor coexists with committed faith and courage rather than carelessness: she follows tactical directions, becomes serious when the coalition changes course, and accepts severe exhaustion to sustain its miracles. Powers and abilities

Altesia receives divine power from Erebos. Through prayer she can call darkness over a battlefield, return flying undead to death so they cannot immediately rise again, temporarily disrupt Shutenberg's resurrection formation, and form a gigantic black incarnation that wields Beatrice's sword of light. Her miracles operate on army scale but demand preparation and stamina; after the two saintesses erase close to two hundred thousand undead, Altesia collapses and later remains exhausted from excessive divine-power use. She also casts extensive curses. Against Callosa she removes voice, sight, and smell, weakens his power, ages body parts, and makes his scales easier to tear away. These effects are powerful rather than absolute: Callosa raises his dragon heart to its peak and sheds the hindrances. • Zephyr: Altesia follows an oracle identifying Zephyr as its protagonist and declares herself his fiancée, a status he initially says he does not remember accepting.
