The Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit is an exceptionally rare natural treasure born from the combined life force of an Ancient Void Dragon and an Ancient Heaven Phoenix. Zi Yan discovers it in a beast-spirit barrier, seals its liquefied energy inside herself, and later absorbs it under Ancient Void Dragon care. The process nearly traps her in solidified energy before Heavenly Flame assistance enables her transformation into a Dragon Phoenix and strengthens her claim to reunify the divided dragon tribe. History

Birthplace and discovery

Inside the ancient remains, Zi Yan senses a summons that leads to a hidden beast-spirit barrier. The barrier contains a blood-red plain encircled by the skeletons of an Ancient Void Dragon and an Ancient Heaven Phoenix that died together. At the center, their remaining life force has produced a gold-and-purple fruit shaped on one side like a dragon and on the other like a phoenix. Ancient Void Dragon records describe only five earlier appearances, with even this formation having merely a chance of producing a fruit. (Chapters 1247–1248)

The Heaven Demon Phoenix group enters the barrier and attempts to take it. Zi Yan treats that outcome as a threat because an inheritor could acquire traits of both lineages, potentially producing a Magical Beast ruler able to challenge the Ancient Void Dragons. The two sides fight, and Zi Yan uses the dead dragon's ancestral remnant to defeat the opposing Heaven Phoenix remnant. After the rivals withdraw, she touches the fruit with her blood-covered hand. It liquefies into gold-purple energy, enters her body, and leaves an image on her palm; she can only seal it temporarily until her tribe's elders can supervise absorption. (Chapters 1248–1251)

Absorption crisis

Ancient Void Dragon experts bring Zi Yan and the sealed energy to their island. Because she carries the royal bloodline and is young enough to adapt, the elders choose her as the most suitable inheritor. They also hope that rapid maturation will give the divided tribe a legitimate Dragon Emperor capable of opposing the three rival dragon kings. The fruit is therefore administered amid a political succession crisis, not simply eaten for an isolated increase in strength. (Chapters 1266 and 1269–1271)

The elders underestimate the energy. Instead of flowing fully into Zi Yan, it crystallizes through her body until both her exterior and interior appear lifeless. Her spiritual fluctuation persists, but failure to absorb the crystal would leave her indefinitely trapped. The crystal is too hard for the elders to break safely, and destroying it by force would also waste the transformative energy they are trying to preserve. (Chapters 1301–1302)

Xiao Yan is called because his merged Heavenly Flame is strong enough to melt the energy crystal gradually and force it back into Zi Yan's body. During an attack on Eastern Dragon Island, the refining process succeeds far enough for Zi Yan to awaken, repel the invaders as Dragon Emperor, and then return to seclusion to absorb the remaining energy. She also sends part of the transformed Dragon Phoenix strength into Xiao Yan, activating his Ancient Dragon essence blood and producing Dragon Phoenix Ancient Armor; this is a gift of derivative energy after her transformation, not a surviving portion of fruit in his custody. Lasting consequences

Zi Yan's Dragon Phoenix bloodline combines the defining power of both ancient lineages and makes her the clearest royal claimant within the fractured Ancient Void Dragon tribe. Later confrontations continue to reference the Heaven Demon Phoenix tribe's loss of the fruit as a source of hostility, while rival dragon and phoenix factions seek the resulting bloodline rather than a still-existing fruit. The consumed treasure's lasting state is therefore embodied in Zi Yan's transformed bloodline and capabilities. (Chapters 1414 and 1473)

Abilities and properties

• Rare formation: The fruit requires the co-located life force of an Ancient Void Dragon and an Ancient Heaven Phoenix and does not form reliably even under those conditions. Its dragon-and-phoenix appearance reflects that dual source. (Chapters 1247–1248)
• Bloodline transformation: Ancient Dragon accounts say it can alter an Ancient Dragon or Heaven Phoenix inheritor so that the body gains traits of both lineages and a true king bloodline. Zi Yan's completed transformation demonstrates this effect in an Ancient Void Dragon recipient. (Chapters 1248, 1301–1308)
• Extreme stored energy: On contact with Zi Yan's blood, the fruit becomes liquid energy and enters her body. She must seal it at first, and later absorption overwhelms her body's capacity, producing a near-total energy crystal. This makes adaptation, supervision, and controlled refinement necessary. • Heavenly Flame-assisted absorption: Xiao Yan's merged Heavenly Flame can melt the otherwise resistant crystal and guide its energy back into Zi Yan. The flame is a treatment for the dangerous absorption state; it does not create the fruit's Dragon Phoenix power. (Chapters 1302–1308)
• Derivative empowerment: After awakening, Zi Yan can transmit some Dragon Phoenix strength to Xiao Yan, strengthening his body and producing defensive scales. This occurs through Zi Yan after she has absorbed the treasure, not through direct possession or consumption by Xiao Yan. (Chapter 1308)
