Xyrran

Xyrran is the strongest Primordial Dragon, the wielder of space-and-time powers, and the architect of the most lethal Dragon Bloodline Trial. He is distinct from Zyrran, the level-600 Electric Dragon killed much earlier in the story; the similar names do not denote an alias, evolution, or shared identity. (Chapters 157–161, 267–287)

Biography

The unprecedented bloodline trial

Xyrran appears after the preliminary examination and announces that the strongest candidate group will face his personal trial for the first time. He creates the Token Holder domain, broadcasts it across Dragon City, and expects no survivors. As the Calamity, he attacks token holders directly, destroys their tokens, fires time beams, empowers monsters, deploys dragons, and imposes kill-or-die conditions, steadily reducing both the field and the number of possible victors. (Chapters 267–279)

The final calamity uses clones made from the Primordial Dragons' essences and Xyrran's power. Although the candidates overcome them, Xyrran then leads the judgment and moves to reject Alex despite his performance. Alex's threat to use World Cleaver against the assembled dragons and Dragon City breaks Xyrran's composure; he accepts the human in panic. His resentment quickly returns, and he joins Morgathis's plan to divert Alex's teleportation into the Abyss. (Chapters 280–287)

Alliance, reckoning, and reconstruction

When the Hatred Demon's awakening threatens all dragons, Xyrran abandons his usual superiority and answers Alex's call for a temporary alliance. He allows Alex to strike his scaled body repeatedly so the human can replenish Destiny Points, then offers a calm wish of luck before retreating with the others into his time-dilated domain. Dragon City is nevertheless devastated, leaving Xyrran responsible for scattered people and a destroyed home. (Chapters 374–375)

After the battle, Xyrran confronts Alphox, who identifies him as the dragon responsible for his earlier death. Xyrran admits the killing but says he deliberately spared Alphox's soul, and he promises that the Primordials will honor nonaggression with humanity while rebuilding. Alphox stays to help the dragons rise again. Ten years later, Dragon City is stronger and more unified, and Xyrran greets Alex with a dry joke rather than hostility before returning to council duties. (Chapters 395–396, 511)

Appearance and personality

Xyrran is an immense dragon whose aura bends the surrounding air and distorts space even before he attacks. His most distinctive feature is a pair of clock-like pupils that tick with precise measurements of passing time. His voice is deep, slow, and normally calm, while his colossal form and massive scaled side emphasize the physical authority that accompanies his less visible control over space and time. He begins as supremely arrogant, cruel, and easily fascinated by lethal difficulty. Xyrran delights in the expectation that his trial will kill everyone, becomes furious when mortals evade or erase him, and remains prejudiced against granting a human dragon blood. World Cleaver exposes genuine panic beneath that dominance. Later disaster makes him more pragmatic: he accepts Alex's aid, keeps a nonaggression promise, tolerates Alphox's grievance, and develops a dry, toothy humor. (Chapters 267–287, 374–396, 511)

Skills and system abilities

As the Supreme Primordial Dragon of Space and Time, Xyrran manipulates distance, position, time, and the structure of his personal domains. He closes gaps by shattering space, uses Time Stop and Void Flames, fires time beams, and operates a secluded domain where hours pass while only minutes elapse outside. His Calamity framework also lets him create battlefield rules, summon or empower creatures, destroy trial tokens, and generate primordial-dragon clones from essence and his own energy. Xyrran can revive after Astariel's Merged Void Blades erase his manifested existence during the timed Calamity, though the source does not present that recovery as a newly acquired formal stage. He is consistently identified as the strongest Primordial Dragon and later remains powerful enough to command the deference of the other Primordials.
