Volks Wingser

Volks Wingser is the eight-winged king of Angel City. Freed from the threat of Varyn by Alex Rogue, he repays the god-killer with an alliance, access to the Angel Bloodline, and the Annihilation Crucifix, then leads the angels through a campaign that secures their place in the post-Games world. Biography

Freedom from the Abyss and three requests

Volks confronts Alex at the collapsing entrance to the Abyss, using royal authority to block his escape while hundreds of angels assemble. His caution changes when Alex confirms that he killed Varyn: the god had demanded sacrifices from Angel City for millennia, destroyed angel cities after a rebellion, and executed Volks's predecessor. Determined to honor the race's debt without surrendering responsibility for his people, Volks asks how the angels can repay Alex and accepts three requests after weighing their risk. He commits the angels to fight selected enemies while refusing purposeless casualties, promises to retrieve the Annihilation Crucifix, and waives the ordinary trial so Alex may seek the Angel Bloodline. Volks personally escorts Alex into the Angel Bloodline Temple after the promised preparations are complete. He supplies a second angel wing, explains the offering and acknowledgment requirements, and activates the ceremony by clapping his hands once Alex places the necessary materials on the founder's statue. After the founder accepts Alex and the basin grants him the bloodline, Volks delivers the Annihilation Crucifix, an angel relic whose wielding restriction makes the ceremony directly necessary to fulfilling the earlier request. The exchange turns Alex from an intimidating benefactor into an angel-blooded strategic ally. (Chapters 325–328)

Alliance for survival

When the Hatred Demon destroys Dragon City, Volks places Angel City on full alert and shows Alex a magical recording of the disaster. Alex's proof that he has already killed the demon restores calm, after which Volks evaluates a target list covering several hostile races. He accepts the campaign, judges which opponents the angels can defeat efficiently, and leads from the front rather than delegating all danger. The war stalls against minotaurs and demons; by the time Alex intervenes, Volks has suffered severe injuries and lost four wings while confronting the Demon King's forces. Ten years later, Volks still rules a rebuilt and flourishing Angel City. He credits Alex with helping establish that peace but accepts Alex's insistence that the angels must now solve their own future crises. Their relationship has relaxed into friendship: Volks greets him warmly, takes pride in a decade without war, and jokes about his daughter's interest in marrying Alex. His rule has consequently moved from fear of an oppressive god and reliance on a powerful rescuer toward an acknowledged responsibility for an independent, stable people. (Chapter 511)

Appearance and personality

Volks is tall and broad-shouldered, with eight golden-white wings, golden eyes, and ornate golden armor; in the epilogue he wears ceremonial armor traced with golden energy. He speaks with smooth royal authority and initially balances formal dignity with visible tension, especially around forces capable of destroying gods or cities. His gratitude is practical rather than submissive: he honors debts, calculates military risks, and refuses to sacrifice angels without reason. He also leads personally, maintains composure after losing four wings, and develops an easy, amused familiarity with Alex once the existential crises have passed. Skills and system abilities

Volks is displayed at level 2,000 and is identified as the angels' strongest warrior at his introduction. His eight wings provide high-speed flight and signify angelic status and experience, while his physical endurance lets him remain conscious and continue acting after four wings are torn away during the assault on the Demon King. He says the wings will regrow slowly, establishing recovery but not its precise duration or cost. Angel King authority

Volks can impose authority that prevents Alex's World Map from teleporting him away, though he releases that pressure once their meeting becomes peaceful.
