Xing Juekong

Xing Juekong is the former ruler of the Star God Realm and the father of Jasmine and Caizhi. His attempt to sacrifice both daughters for True God power destroys his realm and leaves him powerless.

Biography

A god emperor’s failed ceremony

Xing Juekong rises from inheritance of the Heavenly Chief Star God power to surpass the other Star Gods and become their emperor. Behind an outwardly conventional temperament, he treats every bond as subordinate to the realm’s power. He welcomes Yun Che after the Profound God Convention while secretly preparing a ceremony that requires Jasmine and Caizhi as sacrifices, accepting even the deaths of his daughters for a minute chance of reaching the True God realm. (Chapters 1149–1159, 1256–1267, and 1326–1337)

The ceremony instead awakens the Evil Infant. Jasmine massacres the Star God Realm’s core, later captures Xing Juekong, cripples his divine power, and delivers him to Yun Che. He is sealed beneath the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake, unable even to die by choice; his Star God Wheel becomes masterless and he asks that it pass to Caizhi. He remains imprisoned when last directly seen, while later accounts remember him as the archetype of a ruler willing to sacrifice his own children. (Chapters 1344–1355, 1437–1438, 1513, and 2074)

Appearance and personality

Xing Juekong appears as a tall middle-aged man with cold, star-like eyes and an easy smile that does not lessen his imperial pressure. He is calculating, proud, and ruthlessly utilitarian, but his ruin reveals fear and belated concern for the survival of the Star God inheritance. (Chapters 1149, 1256–1267, and 1437–1438)

Abilities and cultivation

As a god emperor and Heavenly Chief Star God, Xing Juekong stands at the tenth level of the Divine Master Realm and commands star divine power, barriers, and the Star God Wheel. The Evil Infant overwhelms him, and Jasmine ultimately strips away the divine power on which both his office and combat ability depend. (Chapters 1257, 1344–1355, 1437–1438)

Relationships

• Jasmine and Caizhi: They are his daughters and intended sacrifices. Jasmine answers his betrayal by destroying his power and realm, while he eventually names Caizhi as the proper successor to the Star God Wheel. (Chapters 1263–1267, 1326–1355, and 1438)
• Yun Che: Xing Juekong first courts his talent, then tries to eliminate him when he disrupts the ceremony. Yun Che later chooses perpetual imprisonment over a quick death for him. (Chapters 1255–1267, 1337–1343, and 1513)
