Primordial Azure Dragon is the ancient Dragon God whose residual soul oversees the Wasteland of Death trial and grants Yun Che his Dragon God blood and soul.

Biography

The trial and inheritance

The Azure Dragon’s wisp greets Yun Che and Chu Yuechan inside a trial ground it has watched for ten thousand years. It judges Yun Che through escalating ordeals made harder by his refusal to abandon the crippled Yuechan, and treats that compassion as part of the result rather than a disqualification. After Yun Che passes, the dragon grants him blood, marrow, soul power, and knowledge, while its vital yang provides the means to repair Yuechan’s ruined body. (Chapters 179–193)

Yun Che later returns and receives further guidance concerning the Dragon Fault sword and the Divine Realm. The residual soul’s connection to the primordial Dragon God also explains Shen Xi’s origin: later testimony identifies her as the Azure Dragon’s daughter. The original deity is long dead, and the trial remnant does not become an independently active present-era character. (Chapters 193, 313, 734, and 2017)

Appearance and personality

The remnant first manifests through immense azure eyes and a voice carrying both supreme dignity and gentleness. It is patient, perceptive, and hopeful enough to entrust a mortal with a legacy whose ultimate purpose reaches far beyond the trial. (Chapters 179–193)

Abilities and cultivation

As primordial Dragon God, it possesses supreme draconic blood, marrow, soul, bodily strength, and regenerative vitality. The remnant can control the trial and transfer inheritance but is only a wisp, not the full combat power of the ancient deity. (Chapters 179–193 and 313)
