Biography
From ruin to the Fog Monarch’s bargain
Buwang appears drunk and openly mocks the title his father once gave him. His mother has been removed as empress and dies, his beloved Wuqing is murdered, and the kingdom rejects the former heir it once praised. By the time he enters the Sinking Dream Valley, he regards his survival as meaningless and carries neither political leverage nor hope of revenge. (Chapters 2046 and 2089–2091)
Yun Che, acting as the Fog Monarch, gives him a new path instead of simple consolation. He mutates Buwang’s darkness profound arts so that peers at the same cultivation cannot match him and demands that he turn recovered hope into vengeance. Buwang accepts the bargain, while his father’s increasing interest in recalling him shows that his absence is beginning to disturb the Owl Butterfly succession. (Chapters 2091–2095 and 2189)
Appearance and personality
He first appears disheveled, wine-soaked, and laughing with the instability of a man who has lost every source of dignity. The promise of power does not make him gentle; it converts suicidal despair into focused, dangerous determination. (Chapters 2046 and 2091–2095)
Abilities and cultivation
Buwang practices darkness profound arts and once possessed Divine Son-level talent. The Fog Monarch’s intervention mutates those arts and grants exceptional same-realm superiority, but the enhancement does not make him invincible against higher realms or free him from the need to rebuild his position.
