Moon Slaughter Devil Sovereign is an ancient devil who survives the primordial catastrophe inside the lightless Moon Slaughter Devil Nest.
Biography
The last devil in the nest
Supreme Ocean Palace records the sovereign as a dark beast that massacred ancestors whose cultivation was suppressed by the nest. In truth, it is a primordial devil preserved by darkness for roughly a million years, weakened to a fraction of its original state yet still capable of dominating cultivators who enter its environment. Yun Che discovers it while seeking the Netherworld Udumbara Flower and learns that moonlight and light profound energy are its critical weaknesses. (Chapters 696, 773–779)
The sovereign attacks Yun Che and Jasmine, using the nest’s darkness and its devil body to press an enemy whose normal profound strength is far lower. Yun Che answers with Golden Crow flame and the domain’s one source of light, eventually destroying the ancient body and obtaining the devil origin orb it leaves behind. Later accounts use that remnant to explain darkness profound energy and the primordial devils’ survival. (Chapters 780–786, 922, and 1495)
Appearance and personality
It is a monstrous, shadowed being whose presence inspires dread before its full form can be seen. Long isolation has left it hostile, proud of its primordial identity, and violently intolerant of light. (Chapters 777–781)
Abilities and cultivation
The sovereign wields darkness profound energy, suppresses intruders through the nest’s yin environment, and possesses a devil body far tougher than its apparent mortal-level aura suggests. Light and moonlight directly weaken it, while long decline has reduced its strength far below its primordial peak. (Chapters 696, 773–786)
