Luo Shangchen

Luo Shangchen is the king of the Holy Eaves Realm and the elder brother of Luo Guxie.

Biography

Realm king and family disgrace

Shangchen attends the Profound God Convention as Luo Changsheng’s father and realm king, encouraging preparation without underestimating Yun Che. He accepts Changsheng’s first loss more honestly than Luo Guxie does, but cannot restrain either his sister’s obsession or his son’s unraveling pride. The Holy Eaves family’s public brilliance conceals that Changsheng is actually the child of Luo Guxie and his own son by marriage, a revelation that later turns the realm inward. During the northern invasion, Shangchen ultimately appears before Yun Che’s forces while Changsheng chooses death to preserve the family’s remaining pride. The Holy Eaves Sect subsequently burns in a single night and Shangchen perishes violently, ending the strongest Eastern upper realm below the king realms. (Chapters 1713–1732, 1762–1765, and 1876)

Appearance and personality

Luo Shangchen has the grave, controlled bearing of a powerful upper-realm king. He is proud of Changsheng but capable of acknowledging a deserved defeat; family shame and betrayal later turn that control into visible rage. (Chapters 1217–1232 and 1731)

Abilities and cultivation

He is an eighth-level Divine Master and one of the Eastern Divine Region’s strongest non-king-realm rulers. That level makes Holy Eaves a strategic threat, but not one able to survive Emperor Yun’s full retribution. (Chapters 1231, 1713, and 1876)
