Ling Kun

Ling Kun is an elder of Mighty Heavenly Sword Region whose intervention in Blue Wind links Heavenly Sword Villa to the Sacred Grounds’ predation.

Biography

Witness, schemer, and victim

Ling Kun presides over the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament as a supposedly impartial witness, using the prestige of his Sacred Ground to dominate the gathering. He notices Xia Qingyue’s Nine Profound Exquisite Body, later helps convey that information to Ye Xinghan, and supports a plan that turns Frozen Cloud Asgard into a target. His authority also helps conceal the true danger beneath the Heaven’s Punishment Sword. (Chapters 204–239, 281–284, and 665)

Years later Yun Che captures Ling Kun and searches his memories with the Profound Handle, confirming Xuanyuan Yufeng’s role in hunting Chu Yuechan and Ling Kun’s participation in the scheme against Frozen Cloud. Once the information is extracted, Yun Che burns him to ash. Ling Kun’s death removes the intermediary whose respectable public office had enabled several private crimes. (Chapters 915–918)

Appearance and personality

Ling Kun is a reserved older man whose silence and Sacred Ground status draw attention whenever he moves. The dignity is instrumental rather than moral: he is opportunistic, secretive, and willing to exploit exceptional women for his faction’s benefit. (Chapters 204–233 and 918)

Abilities and cultivation

As a Mighty Heavenly Sword Region elder, he far exceeds ordinary Blue Wind experts and possesses the spiritual perception to recognize rare physiques. He is nevertheless helpless once confronted by Yun Che’s later power and cannot resist the Profound Handle’s memory search. (Chapters 227–239 and 915–918)
