Helian Jue
Helian Jue is the embattled ruler of the Helian Dynasty and father of Helian Lingzhu.
Biography
A failing dynasty and fatal bargain
Helian Jue rules only nominally over a realm where the three great sects openly challenge the imperial family. Ill health and Mo Beichen’s lingering energy leave him near collapse, while political desperation makes every success of Lingzhu and Mo Cangying essential. Yun Che exploits that weakness, first provoking a medical crisis and then using treatment and the Qilin Abyss Conference to negotiate a place within the realm. (Chapters 1986–1991)
The Helian faction’s unexpected victory restores Jue’s confidence and draws him to the Qilin Divine Domain. His later attempt to act against Yun Che ends the arrangement: Yun Che’s Golden Crow profound handle pierces him and burns him completely to ash. The dynasty gains short-term prestige through Yun Che but loses the ruler who tried to control that advantage. (Chapters 2005 and 2015)
Appearance and personality
Jue wears a brown-yellow imperial robe and crown, with a sharp, dignified gaze diminished by illness and insecurity. He is politically defensive, proud of rank he can no longer enforce, and willing to bargain when survival leaves no alternative. (Chapters 1986–1991)
Abilities and cultivation
He is a high-level earth-aligned ruler, but Mo Beichen’s energy and a failing heart severely compromise his strength. Yun Che can manipulate his condition medically and later kills him before imperial cultivation can offer meaningful defense. (Chapters 1986–1991 and 2015)
