Duke Hui Ye is a son of Duke Huai who intervenes in Yun Family affairs to advance his father’s bid for power.
Biography
The duke inside the Yun Family
Hui Ye arrives at a Yun Family gathering with the Venerable Stone Dragon and accepts the elders’ deference while pointedly ignoring Yun Qinghong. He proposes Yun Xinyue as the family’s next patriarch, using a seemingly internal succession dispute to install a leader tied to Duke Huai Palace. Yun Che counters by demanding a Profound Handle Soul Search, turning Xinyue himself into evidence of the conspiracy. (Chapters 514–520)
Hui Ye’s cultivated dignity collapses as Duke Huai’s faction loses. At the final confrontation he is reduced to terror and humiliation while the Little Demon Empress’s supporters capture Duke Huai and break the palace’s authority. The narrative does not separately describe Hui Ye’s sentence after the faction is taken. (Chapters 610–620)

He is a young duke with polished manners, a slight smile, and the confidence of someone accustomed to inherited reverence. When his political protection disappears, that composure proves shallow and gives way to panic. (Chapters 514–520 and 620)
