Azure Dragon God — Against the Gods

Azure Dragon God is one of the Dragon God Realm’s Nine Dragon Gods and a senior voice during the realm’s war with Yun Che.

Biography

Counsel and death in the western war

Azure enters the narrative with an aura that forces Dragon Guards to kneel and later conveys the secluded Dragon Monarch’s orders to the other Dragon Gods. He responds soberly to the destruction of the Southern Sea God Realm and questions the risks surrounding the rush to war, but ultimately obeys Long Bai and joins the assembled western forces. (Chapters 1714–1718 and 1795–1797)

At the Ten Directions Deep Sea Realm, Mu Xuanyin blasts a hole through Azure’s head and freezes much of his soul. His dragon body survives the initial wound and the Dragon Emperor of Absolute Beginning’s follow-up assault, allowing him to stand and report failure despite shattered bones. He later rejoins the battle, where Yan Two tears his body in half, making him the third Dragon God to die. (Chapters 1843–1844 and 1853–1856)

Appearance and personality

Azure is a tall man with long blue hair, ocean-colored eyes, and a grim solemnity. He is more cautious and reflective than several fellow Dragon Gods, but loyalty to the Dragon Monarch overrides his reservations. (Chapters 1714 and 1796–1797)

Abilities and cultivation

He is a peak Divine Master with Dragon God durability, draconic aura, and immense life force. That physique lets him remain conscious after injuries fatal to a human peer, but soul-freezing ice and the Yama Ancestor’s superior force ultimately overcome it. (Chapters 1714, 1843–1844, and 1856)
