History

Dungeon artifact

Castile identifies a ring of warmth among the party’s dungeon finds and describes it as a rare artifact. Maveith later wears a ring that protects him from the cold, and loans it to Konstantin when he wants to climb higher on an icy mountain. The text does not explicitly establish whether these references concern one ring or multiple examples. (Chapters 172, 331)

Cold-weather travel

During the mountain expedition, Maveith’s ring allows him to travel without the cold affecting him as it does the others. Konstantin borrows it for the colder ascent. Later, Raelia is also seen wearing a ring of warmth, but her ring’s connection to Maveith’s is not established. (Chapters 331, 333)
