Ring of Sustenance
A Ring of Sustenance reduces its wearer’s need for food and sleep.
History
Dungeon finds
A ring of sustenance is among the artificed equipment given to an elf being sent into danger. Eryk later finds a ring in a dungeon and learns that it reduces his need for food and sleep. The effect improves over time, though it also diminishes his appetite. (Chapters 112, 161, 170, 172)
Two rings in the party
Eryk later obtains another ring from Traeliorn and gives it to Maveith, who passes it to his father to help restore his strength. Eryk keeps wearing his own ring, which helps him manage long journeys and periods of limited rest. The text describes multiple rings, so the title refers to a type of artifact rather than a single unique object. (Chapters 194, 200, 281, 331, 333)
