Channeling Ring
The Channeling Ring increases its wearer’s ability to recover aether.
History
A summoner’s artifact
Eryk takes two rings from the summoner’s belongings. He later studies their runes in his dreamscape and identifies one as a channeling ring. Its effect is substantial enough that Eryk worries it would attract unwanted attention if he wore it openly at the Mage College. (Chapters 178–179, 187)
Field use
Eryk wears the ring when he needs to replenish aether quickly, then removes it when concealment or limited ring space makes another choice preferable. In later travels, he notes that it doubles his aether recovery. (Chapters 203, 328, 331)
Abilities and properties
- Enhances aether channeling by ten relative points, which Eryk understands to approximately double his aether recovery. (Chapter 187)
- The ring draws on ambient aether to support recovery. (Chapter 203)
