Biography

Enemy Chosen and River-Defying disciple

Nine-Isles enters the Fallen Sword Abyss surrounded by faint chain-like symbols and a reputation for a technique capable of destroying living things. He competes fiercely for earthstring and heavenstring opportunities, opposes Spirit Stream disciples, and is stunned by Bai Xiaochun's Waterswamp Kingdom. During the Profound Stream war he leads roughly two hundred cultivators against Bai's mixed group, but escapes the encounter while his opponents gain fame. (Chapters 142–165 and 278–305)

Following the Profound Stream Sect's defeat, Nine-Isles is incorporated into the River-Defying Sect and remains recognized as a true Chosen. Watching Bai reach Core Formation first leaves him with complicated frustration and drives him into seclusion, determined to advance. He is later suggested as an alternative hostage when Bai is sent to the Starry Sky Dao Polarity Sect. No subsequent breakthrough or fate is stated. (Chapters 338–376)

Appearance and personality

Nine-Isles is a cold-faced young man initially surrounded by faint symbols resembling chains. He is proud, aggressive, and intensely competitive, yet capable of surviving defeat and redirecting frustration into cultivation. (Chapters 142, 295, and 338–361)

Abilities and cultivation

He cultivates the Exterminating Obliteration Technique, producing obliteration threads reputed to threaten even Mortal-Dao Foundation Establishment cultivators.
