Li Xu

Warden of Devil Penitentiary

Li Xu receives Bai Xiaochun's disguised identity under Duke Deathcrier's authority but immediately asserts that the newcomer must live by his rules. As warden he controls four deputy wardens, assigns Bai to the prison's lowest cellblock, and later places him under an interrogation test that can justify expulsion. Bai's unexpected success changes the balance: Li first watches with anticipation, then orders a complete lockdown after the questioning uncovers a threat to the Giant Ghost King. He approves Bai's departure because the inquisitor found the crucial intelligence and appears loyal to the king, showing that institutional security can override their personal hostility. When Bai later returns with higher status, Li must guide him through an inspection and acknowledge having gone to Duke Deathcrier during the earlier crisis. Appearance and personality

Li Xu is described as looking threatening even when he is not angry. His intense gaze, great-circle Nascent Soul cultivation, and authority give him a sinister presence, but the corpus supplies no age, clothing, build, or other detailed physical traits.
